Handwriting vs. Typing

Ah, the heavyweight title fight we've all been waiting for–Handwriting vs. Typing. Remember the days when you had to handwrite essays for tests in English class? Scribbling out words with a Ticonderoga No. 2 pencil that never seemed to stay sharp enough, hand cramping as you scramble to fill up an empty piece of paper with conclusions about a novel you may or may not have read (SparkNotes, anyone?). Yeah, that sucked. Fast forward to now: I'm using a laptop with a sleek keyboard to type this post. Hand cramps and pencil sharpeners have been replaced by the quiet clicking of keys, the only obstacle to filling up a page being a stubborn case of writer's block. Cool, Ethan, the obvious winner is the new kid on the block–the keyboard. No contest, right?

Well, I'm not so sure. Let's look at the stats.
